The Soft Pack – I love this band

From The Soft Pack ‘s self-titled debut album, this is the final track ParasitesNormally, especially with debut albums, the stand-out belter comes first, so fair play to the San Diego quartet for making us wait for this track, which was their debut single back in 2008, when they were called, rather appallingly, The Muslims.  Not that The Soft Pack is a great name, mind you.  But I like their energy and stripped-down sound, a great antidote to the multi-layered epics which are so ubiquitous in the current climate.  The album clocks in at an invigorating 30-ish minutes, and contains a few other belters too, like Pull Out, C’mon and Answer To Yourself.
