Slow news day but at least it’s nice to see a new, fun publication for gentlemen in the shops this weekend. Editor Tristam Dickson-Cropper says it’s “a lively monthly” for a previously untapped but “viciously henpecked” market. He also foresees “a plethora of stories to be uncovered” in the coming months, including in-depth profiles of such luminaries as Sean Connery, George Best and Chris Brown. The first issue carries a competition to win a six month holiday for one to “anywhere you want, so long as it’s away from her”. Dickson-Cropper also promises more excellent competitions throughout the year, including a live-in Swedish au pair, and an intensive Home Economics course for the female of the lucky winner’s choice.
