Since the English, and a large quantity of their media, were so mean to Andy Murray during Wimbledon, I’ve decided I won’t be cheering for any non-Scots in “Team GB” at the Olympics. Instead, I’m leaning to the maternal side of my family and throwing my weight behind Italy. In particular, the Azzurrini – Italy’s under-21 football squad, led by their coach, the great Pierluigi Casiraghi. This side could well make up for the crushing disappointment of Euro 2008 by bringing home the gold medal. Failing that, and judging by the look of talented J******s left-back, and Ashton Kutcher look-alike, Paolo De Ceglie, they should make the Demi-Finals at least.
